It's been Awhile!

Ok it has been awhile since I have last posted. A ton of stuff has happened since I last posted. Makenzie has started daycare. I have started my first official year teaching, I am teaching kindergarten. I am in my last two classes for my Masters degree, and David is going to start coaching baseball, along with football and basketball! Last but not least...Football has begun again!

I have a ton of new pictures to add and I will try to add all of them this weekend.

Our Zoo Trip

We just got back from a fun filled trip to Amarillo. Mommy and I went and visited the zoo with my friends Caden and Jackson. We had soooo much fun! Here are some pictures that mommy took of me and my friends hanging out at the zoo.

All of us in our carseats. It was a tight fit, but we did it!

Me and Mommy

Me, Jackson, and Caden in the wagon checkin' out all the animals

Here is a Wallabee that we saw, he kinda looked like a Kangaroo to me!

Me, Caden, and Jackson were looking at the mini horse

This is what we were all looking at....Jackson thought the mini horse was thirsty so he threw his sippy cup to him! I held on tight to mine, I wasn't in the sharing mood!

Wooooohoooo!!!! Caden Sliding

Jackson loved playing with the wood chips

AAAAAAHHHHHHH! (Can you hear me????)

The End Is Near

The end of the year is here, and we are busy with end-of-school banquets, awards ceremonies, talent shows, and school trips...not to mention students that are ready for summer to begin!
I am finishing up my last final today. I will have a week off and then I will be starting summer school on June 2nd. I will drive in to Lubbock for 6 weeks for classes, then I will be setting up my new classroom getting ready for the fall! I am so excited to have my own room!

David is going on the senior trip this weekend to San Antonio. They will leave at 4 am Saturday and come back late that night. He will be working for the school doing maintenance this summer to earn a little extra money untill coaching starts in July. He loves it because he gets to learn a lot!

Makenzie is...Makenzie! haha She is so much fun at this age. She cracks us up all the time! She loves to give kisses and hugs, and copy every word that we say. She is still in love with Harley and she still won't say Grandpa on a regular basis! She has her moods and acts like a 2 year old, which is not fun for the rest of us, but I think we'll keep her! ;)

Beautiful Day

Makenzie was playing outside today since it was so beautiful and warm. She just so happened to pose perfectly by the bird feeder, which is amazing taking into account how she has been acting lately! The terrible 2's hit a week early! Her birthday is on Sunday and she apparently knows it and is acting like a little toot!

A look back...

This was April 9th. We were in the elevator at the hospital, we were about to start our journey home with our new little bundle of joy!

This is Makenzie at 1 year old. This was taken at her birthday party.

This is another one of Makenzie taken right before her 1st b-day. Linda T. took this pic. She is an amazing photographer, we love her!

And this is now as Makenzie is about to turn 2 next Sunday!

It is hard to believe how fast she is growing up! She has been such a joy and a blessing in our lives and to all those around us. We are so fortunate that God gave us such a wonderful, caring, and sweet spirited daughter. We need to remember to thank God everyday for all of the joys he has given us in life.

Fun pics

Here are some fun pics from awhile ago that I thought ya'll might like to see!

This first one is of Makenzie on New Years Day. She obviously had a wild night of partying! She must have snuck out of the house or something...

This is when Makenzie was washing her hands and she flung herself forward and hit her eye on the water faucet on the sink. Needless to say we rushed her to the Dr. because it was bleeding. She is holding her elephant ice pack up to her eye to help with swelling.

Yes, this is Makenzie running around with a bucket on her head...what can I say? My child is easily entertained!

This pic was taken in Clovis. Makenzie was testing out her Barbie 4-wheeler in my parents driveway. She loves that thing!

Here is yet another picture of our precious angel sleeping. You probably think that all she does is sleep. Soooooooooooo not true! She has to take naps so that mommy and daddy have time to catch their breath!

I absolutely love this picture of Makenzie! She is such a little poser and such a girly-girl!
This was the 1st time that I had done her hair so that it would flip out, and I must say it is adorable!!!

Sleeping Beauty

Even when she is sleeping she is so beautiful! Makenzie is twirling her hair in her sleep in this picture that I took during today's nap. As you can tell we still haven't kicked the pacci at nap time yet! One day at a time, one day at a time.

Harley

Harley got hit by a car last night and he broke his arm. Mom and Dad had to bring him up to Lubbock today so that he could go to the Orthapedic Vet. He has to have surgery to put a pin in because it is right by his wrist. Mom told Makenzie that Harley got hurt and he has an owie and she kept saying "hurtsy" for hurt. "Harley hurtsy." Please say a quick prayer for him that everything will be allright and that he will be back to running around and playing "football" with Makenzie in no time.

Busy, busy busy!

We have been super busy this past few weeks between David's basketball games, my school, and work. Makenzie has been quite the trooper going wherever and behaving quite nice...although Misti did tell me that she threw a fit at her house the other night when she told her "NO," apparently the TERRIBLE TWO'S are fast approaching! Makenzie is saying a new word it seems like everyday! Last week she went to the stock show for the first time and she ran up to one of the stalls and started saying "DOG! DOG!" David had to tell her that it was a Pig. So that night when I came home from school I asked her what she saw and she said "PIG! Oing oing!" My baby's a Genius I tell ya! Oh yeah and she can say "Zeba" which means Zebra.

I haven't forgotten!

I haven't forgotten about my blog! I promise! It just seems that I thought I would have all this time during my 2 week break and I would update everyday and get all sorts of house cleaning and such done...yeah that didn't happen! It was such a hectic 2 weeks, as soon as we got out of school *BAM* Christmas was there! Then Makenzie and I traveled to Clovis to visit family while David stayed here and coached Basketball tournements. Yes he is a teacher, but no he was not completelyon vacation, he basicaly got Christmas eve and Christmas Day off and that's it for vacation. When we came back to Ralls my wonderful husband had suprised me and had put up the Christmas tree and all the Christmas decorations! How sweet of him...he's the greatest! The week of New Year's brought us carless as we had both the cars in the shop getting fixed because they were both having problems. No fun! Today break officially ended and it was back to school for us. The students come back tomorrow. I am somewhat ready and somewhat not...I realy enjoyed my time with Makenzie over the break!

Well enough rambling for now. I need to get busy and finish my homework! I will post pics later on this week of all our adventures over Christmas break!
