My Silly Little Girl

Makenzie is so curious and learning how to take clothes and diapers off lately. Last night I put her in her diaper in her crib while I took a shower and when I went to check on her and I found her sitting there without her diaper on!
Yes she was sitting in her crib naked! She tore her diaper off and was ripping it apart...lovely huh?

Then this morning she went down for her morning nap. She played a little while trying to fight off sleep, but eventually she lost the battle and she fell fast asleep...but not before this...

She decided to take her arm out of her sleeve and put it through the neck of her sweatshirt!!!! Silly Girl!

Stupid Technology!

Ok I just spent the last hour trying to find PowerPoint on my home computer. Granted I have had the computer for almost 1 year, but I have never used or needed to use PowerPoint on here...until tonight! So I've been searching & all I could find is this stupid PowerPoint Viewer 2003. Now tell me why anyone would need to view a PowerPoint and never make one? Good Question for microsoft, I'll be calling them later! Moving on with the story...I finally figured out that our stupid computer did not come with PowerPoint only PowerPoint Viewer. Needless to say David & I dug through all of our papers that came with the computer and finally found a free 60 day trial for Microsoft works 2003. This realy didn't make sense to me since we have Microsoft Windows XP, but whatever, I was desperate, so I went ahead and downloaded it. So now we have PowerPoint for 60 whole days. We are obviously going to have to purchase the full version later so that I can do my homework. So my question is this...Did all yall's computers come without powerpoint? Or am I just the lucky one that happened to get a stripped down model? Just Curious

Procrastinating...sort of

I am doing my homework right now...sort of...I am taking a small break to type this :) It's been a great weekend and a productive one at that! David and I joined forces and cleaned and re-arranged the house on Saturday. It feels great living in a clean home! haha Saturday afternoon David's parents came out and we went to the Assiter Pumpkin Farm and Makenzie had a BLAST! She loved the pumpkins and absolutely loved the dogs that they had there! We have a pet lover! She kept saying "dog" and "ruff" everytime we let her down she ran to the dogs not the pumpkins! We also learned that she has expensive taste! The first pumpkin she wanted cost $100...ummm I don't think so missy! We got some great pics of Makenzie and some family pics of the 3 of us that I will post tomorrow.

Sunday we went to church and just kinda laid around for the most part, other than doing dishes and laundry, I didn't feel so good.

Today we were also off...yippeee! Today I cleaned out my armoire, did dishes, all laundry (including stinky training panties!), folded clothes, ironed, called and made an appointment to get our carpet cleaned, and am doing my homework for the next week!

Needless to say I am feeling very productive and accomplished! I did not do it alone though, David has been an awesome husband this weekend and has helped me so much! Gotta love him!

Makenzie Swinging

I thought that ya'll might like to see this. She loves her swing!

Hectic!

It's been an extremely hectic week here so I haven't been able to get on her and update. So it all started last Thursday when my mema fell and has gone down hill from there! Thankfully my mema is ok, she is in a nursing home for right now though trying to get better. Please keep her and my papa in your prayers. I was emotionally and physically drained after the weekend and when we got home from Clovis my inlaws came over and stayed until 10:45 so we didn't get to bed until late on Sun Ugh!

Then on Wednesday I started to feel bad so I decided to stay home on Thurs. and go to the dr. Well it turns out that I have bronchitis :(

As if feeling miserable wasn't enough, God thought that he would try my patience with my daughter last night at the
grocery store!
I went to the store in Lubbock so that I could get my prescription filled and get some groceries at the same time, multitasking it's what mom's do!

Makenzie started to get hungry so I went to the juice aisle and picked up a package of her organic juice that she likes, opened it and gave her 1. She proceeded to suck the little juice box dry! Then as I am getting her some dried bananas I look up and she is...EATING the juice box! One might mistake this for a hungry child, but remember my child eats everything...including books and her crib! I went over and grabbed her some more fruit leather bars for at home and I opened one and let her eat it. She was a happy camper...for the moment!

When we got to the checkout I was telling the checker that she had allready eaten one of the fruit leathers and he said ok and put one on the counter...
dun dun dun...that is when the fit began
She started writhing, and whining, and crying, and pushing away from me, all because she wanted another stupid fruit leather!
In the meantime the lady behind me has a baby boy and he is just as happy as can be and she is playing with him and staring at me...
you know that "how could you let your child act like that" stare.
It was so embarrasing.
I was praying for the checker to hurry up so we could leave.
Normally I would have just walked out of a place if she was acting like that...but we really needed groceries.

To end the story as soon as we got in the car she fell asleep...of course no one was around then!
